BH2-CA Magnification Changer
The BH2-CA Magnification Changer (Olympus B-L0118) is the BH2 version of the venerable Zeiss Optovar. The BH2-CA fits between the microscope stand and the viewing head, and includes selectable magnification factors of 1.0x, 1.25x, and 1.5x, as well as a focusable Bertrand lens that allows the operator to view the exit pupil of the objective for phase contrast and polarizing applications.
The BH2-CA was available in black and white versions. The various magnification factors are useful for photomicrography applications, allowing intermediate magnifications between the standard objectives. The BH2-CA allows a standard set of 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, and 100x objectives to provide magnifications of 4x, 5x, 6x, 10x, 12.5x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 30x, 40x, 50x, 60x, 100x, 125x, and 150x.
BH2-NA Nomarski Intermediate Tube
The BH2-NA Nomarski Intermediate Tube is a necessary component of Nomarski NIC/DIC on the BH2, which fits between the microscope stand and the viewing head and should be paired with the BH2-NC condenser. The BH2-NA accepts the BH2-AN rotatable analyzer, and introduces a magnification factor of 1.25x.
The combination of the BH2-NA intermediate tube and BH2-NC condenser supports Nomarski using the 100x oil UV DPlan Apo objective, as well as the 10x, 20x, and 40x, and 100x oil SPlan objectives. This configuration also supports phase contrast using the 10x UV and 20x UV DPlan Apo phase contrast objectives, as well as the 10x and 40x SPlan phase contrast objectives.
BH2-NAF Nomarski Intermediate Tube
The BH2-NAF Nomarski Intermediate Tube is a necessary component of Nomarski NIC/DIC on the BH2, which fits between the microscope stand and the viewing head and should be paired with the BH2-NCF condenser. The BH2-NAF accepts the BH2-ANF rotatable analyzer, and introduces a magnification factor of 1.25x.
The combination of the BH2-NAF intermediate tube and BH2-NCF condenser supports Nomarski using the 10x UV, 20x UV, 20x oil UV, 40x oil UV, and 100x oil UV DPlan Apo objectives, as well as the 40x oil UV D Apo and 100x oil SPlan objectives. This configuration also supports phase contrast using the 10x UV, 40x oil UV, and 100x oil UV DPlan Apo phase contrast objectives, as well as the 40x oil UV and 100X oil UV D Apo phase contrast objectives and the 10x and 100x oil SPlan phase contrast objectives.
BH2-DA Drawing Attachment
The BH2-DA Drawing Attachment fits between the microscope stand and the viewing head, and uses an NFK 5.0x photo eyepiece (optionally NFK 3.3x or NFK 2.5x) internal to the tube, along with a right-angle mirror, to mix an image of a drawing paper on the work surface with the normal microscope image seen through the eyepieces. This mixing allows the observer to simultaneously view the specimen under observation along with the drawing on the paper, to facilitate faster and more accurate drawings of the specimen.
The BH2-DA contains a focusing ring to focus the image of the drawing and a 3-position magnification adjustment screw to allow the BH2-DA to be used on various microscope models. The BH2-DA has a magnification factor of 1.25x, and is intended to be used with 10x eyepieces.

BH2-KP Simple Polarizing Kit
The BH2-PK Simple Polarizing Kit consists of the BH2-KPA intermediate tube which fits between the microscope stand and the viewing head (with a 1.25x magnification factor), a BH2-POL linear polarizer, and a full-wave tint plate. The BH2-KPA was made in black-finish or white-finish versions.
BH2-PA Polarizing Intermediate Tube
The BH2-PA Polarizing Attachment (Olympus L-0501), which was supplied with the BHSP and BHTP microscopes, fits between the microscope stand and the viewing head. The BH2-PA, which has a black finish and a magnification factor of 1.0x, contains a rotatable polarizing analyzer, a Bertrand lens, and a slot for 6 x 20 mm waveplate accessories.
